Five HBC Collegians Serving in Love this Summer
This summer, five of Highland's collegians are serving the world in Love through various ministry opportunities. Anna Holladay, Taylor Bell, Holly Cunningham, Alecia Fuller, and Anna Kate McWhorter are working through CBF partner organizations Student.Go and PASSPORT Camps this summer. Anna Holladay is a 2011 graduate of the University of Louisville. She is serving this summer as a Student.Go intern with the Rauschenbusch Metro Ministries organization of Metro Baptist Church in New York City. Anna is the Assistant Director for C.L.U.E. Camp (Children Living the Urban Experience), where she is coordinating summer camp activities for 40 children in Brooklyn and weekly leadership teams from churches all over the country. After her time in New York City, Anna will serve again as a Student.Go intern to Romania for nine months.
Taylor Bell is a rising junior at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama. He is serving this summer as a Student.Go intern with the Andrew P. Stewart Center in Atlanta, Georgia. Taylor is a Camp Counselor, where he is working with kids aged 5-12 from the urban centers of Atlanta in a summer day camp. After his time in Atlanta, Taylor will return to Samford.
Holly Cunningham is a rising junior at the University of Evansville in Evansville, Indiana. She is serving this summer as a Student.Go intern with Crescent Hill Baptist Church's refugee ministry in Louisville. She is one of four Day Camp Teachers for Refugees, where she is working with refugee students from Burma to develop and enrich their educational skills. After her time in Louisville, Holly will return to the University of Evansville.
Alecia Fuller is a rising senior at the University of Louisville. She is serving this summer as a Bible Study Leader for PASSPORTMissions in Boston, Massachusetts and Macon, Georgia. Alecia is joining with a dozen other leaders for the summer to guide teenagers from all over the country in a week of camp and service work. After her time with PASSPORT, she will return for her final year at the University of Louisville.
Anna Kate McWhorter is a rising sophomore at Berea College in Berea, Kentucky. She is serving this summer as a Bible Study Leader for PASSPORTKids! in Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia. Anna Kate is joining with a dozen other leaders for the summer to guide 3rd-6th graders in a four-day camp and service experience. After her time with PASSPORT, she will return to Berea College.
