Kathy Collier serves as Highland’s Minister of Music and Worship. Kathy has been active in Highland's music ministries since she and her husband, Phil, joined the church in 1980 – serving as Music Associate, singing with the Sanctuary Choir, Children’s Choir Coordinator, and directing Highland’s summer Music Camp for children.
A native of Paducah in Western Kentucky, Kathy received her Bachelor of Music Education from Murray State University and a Master of Music in Piano Performance from the University of Kentucky. A music educator for 30 years, Kathy taught music to students from early childhood age through graduate students and served as an accompanist for 20 years for the All-State Choruses for the Kentucky Music Educator’s Association. She has conducted choral festivals in West Virginia and throughout Kentucky and serves as an officer in the local Choristers Guild chapter.
Kathy and Phil are the parents of two young adult children and one son-in-law. They enjoy going to movies at Baxter Avenue, hiking and traveling.
