Renee graduated from Georgetown College in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Following her undergraduate work, Renee worked as a physical therapy technician before pursuing her call to ministry by accepting an Internship at Passport, Inc. located in Birmingham, Alabama. Most recently, Renee graduated from Baptist Theological Seminary in Richmond (Virginia) in May of 2007, where she received her Master of Divinity degree. She was also awarded the Addie Davis Award for Outstanding Pastoral Leadership sponsored by Baptist Women in Ministry upon graduation. In the past, Renee has served as a camp director for Passport and has worked with children in a myriad of other settings. As a native Kentuckian, Renee is excited to return to the Bluegrass state to work with children and families at Highland. She enjoys playing the piano, visiting bookstores and coffee shops, as well as spending time with family and friends, especially her husband, Tyler, and their beagle, Shockoe.
